Topic: Teaching on the demands of the kingdom.

Sub-topic:- The beatitudes Matt. 51-12
Behavioral Objective:- At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to give an account of Jesus teaching on the beatitudes (b) identify the lesson Christians can learn for the beatitudes.

Content element:- The word beatitude means blessed, unhappy, successful and prosperous. Jesus taught about the state of those who are truly blessed in the teaching on the mount. There are nine categories of people who are truly blessed.

Evaluation:- At the end of the lesson, the students can give an account of Jesus teaching on beatitudes and identify the lessons learnt.



Sub-topic:- (a) Christians commitment - salt and light Matt. 513-16 (b) fulfillment of the Law matt. 517-48
Behavioral Objective:- At the end of the lesson, the student should be able to; (a) explains how Jesus used salt and light to teach Christians commitment. (b) discuss how Jesus fulfilled the law and the prophets.

Content element:- Jesus said Christians are the salt of the earth and the light of the world. They are to improve the micral nad spiritual qualities of life. Jesus also said that he had not come to abolish the law and the prophets but to fulfill them. He taught on how the law on murder, (anger, adultery, swearing, retaliation and love of enemies could be fulfilled.

Evaluation:- explain how Jesus used salt and light to teach Christians commitment (b) discuss how Jesus fulfilled the law and the prophets.

Assignment:- Highlight Peter's teaching on interpersonal relationship.
