Behavioral Objective:- At the end of the lesson, the student should be able to (i) explain the meaning of colonialism.

Content:- Revision of last session topics before 1880s Europe had gone ahead of the rest of the world in science and technology to production. So Europe of 19th acting became the workshop of the world with growing desire for raw materials. For the industries. Britain, Belgium, France. Germany, Italy etc were all included in this race.
The process control of another country can therefore be referred to as Colonia.

Behavioral Objective:- At the end of the lesson, the student should be able to (i) explain different pattern of colonial administration.

Content:- The institution through which British colonial territories were administered include:-
The secretary of state. The secretary for the colonias was the head of the colonial administration. He was a cabinet minister and was based in London Duties. He had the following duties, He appointed Governors to colonial territory. The colonial Governor was directly responsible to him for the good administration of the colonies.
He issue instructions and orders to the Governors in the colonies.

(i) The chief executive:- Traditional chiefs were the overall heeds of their domains.

Content:- Few British personnel very few of them were ready to serve in the colonies, therefore shortage of personal made the colonialists rely on the chiefs during the period of occupation proved to them that the chiefs were powerful and were highly respected their people.
